Mediation Services Tailored to Your Situation

I specialize in helping families and individuals resolve conflicts without the emotional and financial cost of litigation. Every mediation is confidential, voluntary, and designed to find solutions that work for everyone involved.

Elder Care Mediation

When families disagree about care decisions for aging parents, emotions run high. I help siblings and family members navigate difficult conversations about living arrangements, medical care, financial support, and caregiving responsibilities — finding solutions that honor your loved one's wishes while addressing everyone's concerns.

Estate & Inheritance Disputes

Inheritance conflicts can tear families apart. Whether it's disagreements over property distribution, trust administration, or perceived unfairness in a will, mediation offers a confidential way to resolve these issues while preserving family relationships — without costly probate court battles.

Divorce & Family Mediation

As a TMCA Credentialed Mediator, I am authorized to help separating couples and families reach agreements on divorce, child custody, visitation schedules, and child support — without court battles. Mediation keeps decisions in your hands, reduces conflict, and protects children from unnecessary stress.

Family Dispute Resolution

Family conflicts don't always fit neat categories. Whether it's multi-generational disagreements, conflicts over shared property, financial disputes between relatives, or other family tensions, I provide neutral ground where everyone can be heard and work toward practical solutions.

Mediation Rates

Professional mediation services at a fraction of the cost of litigation, with reduced rates available for those in need.

$400
per person
4-Hour Mediation Session

Includes pre-mediation preparation, the full mediation session, and a written settlement agreement upon resolution. Additional time billed at $75 per hour per person. I offer fee reduction for some cases. Your fee will be confirmed during your free initial consultation.

I believe access to skilled mediation should be affordable and accessible.

Mediation is a fraction of the cost of litigation — and the value goes far beyond money. In mediation, you decide the outcome instead of leaving it up to the courts, the whole process can be completed in less time than litigation, and it inflicts far less emotional damage on litigants who may have to continue working together.

I offer reduced fees, on a case-by-case basis, for those with fewer resources.

The Mediation Process

Mediation is a structured yet flexible process designed to help you reach resolution efficiently. Here's what to expect when you work with Common Ground Mediation.

1

Initial Consultation

We start with a free consultation to discuss your situation, explain how mediation works, answer your questions, and determine if mediation is the right approach. We discuss logistics, timeline, and fees.

2

Pre-Mediation Preparation

Before the session, I meet separately with each party to understand their perspective, gather relevant information, and establish ground rules. This ensures everyone comes prepared for productive conversation.

3

Mediation Session

All parties come together in a neutral, confidential setting. I facilitate conversation, help identify common ground, explore options, and guide the group toward mutually acceptable solutions. Sessions typically last 2 to 4 hours.

4

Agreement & Follow-Up

When resolution is reached, I help document the agreement in writing. This creates a clear record of what was decided and ensures everyone understands their commitments. Once signed, the agreement is final.

What Clients Say

Real stories from families and individuals who found resolution and a better path forward through mediation.

Lynnette helped us with our divorce a couple years ago, and we came back to her when things changed.

I got a new job over 100 miles away and it turned everything upside down. I was worried about losing time with my kids, and about child support going up. Their mom was resentful that she would lose time for herself since they would be with her 70% of the time. We sat down with Lynnette and worked out something that actually fits our lives. We kept joint custody, and instead of raising child support, I got a small place near the kids so I can come back every few weeks and spend real time with them. It's not the standard plan, but it works for us and keeps me involved in my kids' lives. I'm really glad we did mediation instead of fighting it out.

Nathan H. Houston, TX

Going through a divorce and working out child custody and a parenting plan felt overwhelming, and I wasn't sure mediation would work for us.

But the process turned out to be far less stressful than I expected. Instead of feeling like we were on opposite sides, we were able to have real conversations and focus on what was best for our children. Lynnette kept everything calm, organized, and productive, even when emotions ran high. We reached agreements on custody, visitation, and our parenting plan without going to court. Mediation saved us a significant amount of money and time, and it helped us move forward with a workable plan we both felt good about.

I had the opportunity to see her firsthand while she managed a shared living environment. She handled disagreements calmly and respectfully, making sure each person felt heard while guiding conversations toward practical, fair solutions. What stands out most is her ability to listen closely, understand what truly matters to each person, and help move everyone toward creative solutions. She approaches conflict with patience, clarity, and a sincere desire to help people move forward.
